Jeffrey A. Oakland, OD
A native of Sioux Falls, Dr. Oakland received his Bachelor’s of Art degree from of Augustana University before going on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Oakland continued his education with a residency in Pediatric / Binocular Vision where he received additional training in the treatment of binocular vision disorders such as Strabismus, Amblyopia, and Visual Perceptual Disorders.
Dr. Oakland is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Pediatric Department of the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Optometric Extension Program, and is an InfantSEE provider.
Outside of the office, Dr. Oakland and his family enjoy traveling and being outdoors. He is also a sports enthusiast who likes college football and basketball. Dr. Oakland and his wife, have two children, Reid and Isla.
Jeannette Jennings is a lifelong resident of Sioux Falls. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education, English and psychology from the University of Sioux Falls, a Master’s Degree in Education from Augustana University, and a South Dakota teaching certificate.
During her education career, Jeannette has had the opportunity to work with students from ages five to twenty-one in both public and private schools. As a vision therapist her passion is helping people develop their potential and reach their goals.
In her spare time, Jeannette enjoys spending time with her husband as well as reading, cooking, and playing golf.
Susan Mundt-Andersen is a Sioux Falls native. She received her Bachelor’s of Art degree in both Elementary and Special Education from Augustana University. She taught a variety of levels in Special Education, as well as First and Sixth Grade, during her twenty plus year career in the public schools. In November of 2011, Susan joined the Center for Visual Learning as a Vision Therapist.
In her spare time Susan enjoys spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Ellyanna. She also enjoys traveling, bike riding, watching soccer and entertaining at her home.
